I have been quite poorly with my cold, so it wasn’t until today that I was able to finally get out my yarns and have a crochet. I needed to just make a thing, it didn’t really matter what it was, and it ended up being this.

Lexie is wearing it as a headband, but it’s supposed to be a scarf. A short one! With a big flower on it. I did silly things like add some edging rows of dc to the flower, and changed the yarn halfway through the scarf, and when the pattern didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, I changed it a bit because that’s how I roll.

I used the wrong sized hook, and a different yarn, so it came out smaller than I was expecting, but I’m not excited to make it again. Lexie likes it as is. The pattern was Garden Trellis from Crochet! Quick & Easy 2015.

In other news, I’m expecting a visit from the yarn rep on Thursday, which will be fun. The trade show comes up in a couple of weeks, but I always enjoy chatting about the lovely colours and textures. I hope not to buy too much. Lol. I will report after the event.
